For instance, nearly thirty-eight percent of businesses surveyed wrongly believed that keyword stuffing is a good and positive thing. Thirteen percent think it is right to publish duplicate content by copying and pasting it from some other site.

Small businesses lack correct knowledge of SEO

In addition, the results of the survey indicate that small businesses lack knowledge of SEO they require. TTwenty-five percent are not aware of the significance of onsite optimization for SEO. Similarly, twenty-one percent respondents have no idea about the importance of content and blog creation.   Such lapses can have a serious impact on the SEO initiatives of small businesses’.

What should businesses do in a different way?

It might surprise you but this is not the first time that a study or survey has highlighted the problems and issues regarding the approach of SEO by small businesses. Yet another study revealed that nearly forty-five percent of small businesses do not want to improve or change their online presence.

It is important for small businesses to understand that ignoring SEO in 2017 can cause dearly to their business. As a matter of fact, SEO has always been an integral part of any business, be it small or large. However, owing to the fact that small businesses need it more than ever, implementing right, effective and well-planned strategies is a must for reaping high profits.

If small businesses will not pay proper attention to the SEO aspect then chances are that they might never find their website in ranking.
